Mike Zamarripa manages the daily operations at SERVPRO Vermilion County and is often the first point of contact for property owners, insurance agents and adjusters. He is a first responder to assess losses and takes pride in maintaining professional customer service from start to finish. “I love helping people,” he says. “We often see people on what can be one of the worst days of their lives and it’s our job and responsibility to not only take care of their home and their belongings, but to take care of them and their peace of mind, as well.” Zamarripa strives to put himself in his customers’shoes.
Regardless of whether he has experienced the same loss they have, he finds ways to relate to them and make them comfortable. He wants them to know they can call him anytime. He hopes customers feel that they can trust him to transform perhaps the worst experience of their lives in to something through which they can persevere, he says.
Although he didn’t know much about SERVPRO at the time, Zamarripa began his career with SERVPRO 11 years ago on the production crew. He quickly recognized how the company helped those in need and knew it was a career path he wanted to pursue. Having advanced through the company, he now appreciates the opportunity to mentor other employees and be a positive role model. Zamarripa and his wife Jessica have three sons. He enjoys all that comes with being a husband and father, he says. In his free time, he enjoys sports, fishing, and hiking.
